Ff14 glamour prism2/10/2024 If you get into good habits with your Glamour Prism usage, you won’t need to use nearly as many of them. So let’s take a look at some of the options. There are tons of options for basically every piece of gear, and if you want to look your best you’ll need to get a steady supply of prisms. But the glamour system allows for a huge amount of flexibility in your character’s appearance. Obviously, you can’t make one weapon type look like another – so you can’t disguise your great big sword as a nifty pair of daggers. I’m not exactly fashion forward myself, but at times it felt like my Dark Knight was wearing a cheap Optimus Prime costume fresh off of eBay. This is a godsend, because some of the equipment you’ll pick up is horrendous. The glamour system is XIV’s answer to what’s been called “transmog” in other games.Īt the cost of a glamour prism, you can project the appearance of one weapon, boot, chest piece, wedding dress, etc. With just one swift action you can turn that powerful but hideous new piece of equipment into something more stylish. You can buy them from multiple sources, but there’s one clearly superior method that stands out: buying them from your Grand Company.Įverybody loves glamour prisms. Some events in FFXIV allow you to parade your look (Screenshot by Upcomer).Glamour prisms are consumable items that can be used to cast the appearance of one item onto another. Keep and eye out for the next in-game event if you want to strut your stuff. There are often in-game fashion and catwalk events in Final Fantasy XIV. ![]() You can get lots of ideas and inspiration from this site. If you want to show off your look, post it on the FFXIV Eorzea Collection website. Parade your lookįashion has often been a big part of gaming, and in particular FFXIV. For example if you want all pink gear, then you’ll need to make sure you have enough pink dyes for all your gear. Just make sure you have the correct dyes. These Glamour plates can only be “use” or cast when your character is in a city. Also note that your Glamour dresser can store up to 20 different Glamour plates. You can only use dyes that you own, and you can only dye gear if you have completed the Color Your World quest. Next, select the dye you want to use and click “Apply”. ![]() You can dye directly from the dresser by right-clicking an item from the Fitting room and selecting “Enable Dye Preview”. Then cast Glamour on Valor Cuisses and select the newly dyed breeches as the base. ![]() For example, if you want your Valor Cuisses to look like Dragoon Blue Goatskin Breeches, you’ll need to dye the Goatskin Breeches first. In order to use the dyes, you’ll want to dye the piece of gear that you want your new gear to look like. Here you can view your look, toggle to show or hide gear, and preview dye for items. If you click “Try On” the “Fitting Room” window will appear. From there you can right click any item to “Apply Glamour”, “Restore Item” to its original form, or “Try On”. Click “Yes” and the item will appear in your dresser. A window will appear asking if you’d like to use a Glamour prism and add the item to your dresser. Select the equipment from “Glamour Creation” that you want to change. Once you’re in the dresser it will take some playing around.
